Crochet Nation

One Nation Under Yarn

Featuring Todd Paschall

Crochet Nation™ is dedicated to reaching out to a generation with crochet innovation. And Todd Paschall's work epitomizes the word. Inspired by his desire to crochet a picture of his newborn son's face, Todd wrote a computer program to make crochet patterns out of any picture. He perfected the technique, and today he makes one-of-a-kind, breathtaking pieces with Red Heart yarn and a hook. He actually
crochets portraits...of anyone and anything.

Todd's sister taught him to crochet twelve years ago. "It used to trip out my boys when they'd come downstairs and see me watching football and crocheting. I found it relaxing," he reminisces. A member of the Crochet Guild of America, Todd is making a name for himself in the
crochet universe. He has even completed a design for Breast Cancer Awareness for the Guild, and he is making plans to sell the patterns for designs of Billie Holiday, Tupac Shakur, Scarlet O'Hara, and the like. He says that anyone can do what he does. And with a little instruction and a lot of patience, you can too. Todd will turn any photograph into a detailed crochet pattern that you can crochet
yourself. Contact Todd at toddapaschall@yahoo.com for details or visit: www.crochetbynumbers.com.
